SUBJECT: Cable replacement for the affected headphones


Dear customers:

Thank you for your patronage of Audio-Technica products.

Producing quality products to meet customers’ satisfaction has always been one of our priority missions. However, we have recently discovered that such Hi-Fi headphone models as ATH-AD2000, ATH-AD1000PRM, ATH-A900LTD, ATH-A900Ti and ATH-A950LTD were manufactured with wrong connection inside the divergence of the cable. In consequence, those headphones did not have cables with “Independent Earth Structure between L and R channels (4-core structure)” as described on the product package and spec sheets. Although there are no safety concerns with these products, being a responsible manufacturer, we will replace headphone cables free of charge for the affected products with a view to restoring them to their original state where they were designed for.

Method of identifying the affected products
Please check behind the head pad arm. If there is no serial sticker, those are the affected products.

Cable replacement for the affected products
For those customers who wish to replace headphone cables, please send your headphones through your purchased distributor/dealer or return them directly to the address below on “freight collected” basis. After receipt of your headphones, we will replace cables and send the unit back to you. We recommend that when returning your headphones, please use delivery services with official receipt or copies of waybills so that you can track the delivery status as well as minimizing the chance of product pilferage or loss during transit.
